Well, as it turns out I’m one of the lucky ones who gets to go on a mid-winter (is it winter here?) island getaway.  That’s right, I’ll be basking in the sun on the island of Roatan in less than 24 hours!  My parents have a house there and it’s prime bronzing season.  Since the store is closed for renovations anyway, Adrianne and I leave tomorrow.  I can’t wait to wear all of the new gear we’ve been getting in.

I’ll be wearing these Level 99 jeggings in lipstick on the plane.  Planes are never the perfect temperature so I prefer to wear pants even if I am headed somewhere tropical.  These bright red ones are perfect!  Did I mention I could sleep in them they’re so comfortable?  I probably will sleep in them considering our flight to Houston is at 6am.  I’m a seasoned traveler and have trained myself to fall asleep immediately when I get on a plane, train, bus or any moving vehicle that I’m not driving.

I’m bringing this Plenty by Tracy Reese chemise dress for my Mom.. because she deserves it!  Older Mature ladies have issues with showing their arms.. so this is perfect.

We usually venture to the West End one night to my dad’s favorite restaurant on the island, The Vintage Pearl.  I like to get dressed up for the locals so I’ll be wearing this dress.. another from Plenty by Tracy Reese.

Oh what’s that?  I have to wear a swimsuit in the middle of January?  No worries, I’ll be bringing one of my favorites from the new line we picked up in Vegas last August!  So, SO excited for all of you to find your perfect swimsuit at Sam’s Closet this year.  Seriously, these fit perfectly and give you whatever you need (boost, support, coverage) in all the right places.

I will probably own every color and pattern by the end of the summer.  Much like sunglasses, I have a problem with owning more swimsuits than I could ever possibly need.  The best thing about these?  All of the solid colors can go back with at least one pattern.  So mix and match and you could wear a different combination every day on the beach!  Love.

Let’s see.. because I habitually over pack for everything I’ll probably throw in these wedges by Elaine Turner, just in case.  Because you never know when you’ll be invited somewhere fancy on an island.  And God forbid you don’t have the right shoes.  (Does everyone think like this, or is it just me?)

Since I’ve spent all this time telling you all what I’m packing instead of actually packing I must go throw everything into my suitcase and get to sleep early for my 4am wake-up call!  See you all on FRIDAY, February 3rd when we reopen!  Y’all are going to be obsessed with the changes we’ve made!  Plus, in case you missed my facebook post yesterday, we got Level 99 colored denim in Aqua, Tangerine, Grey, White and more Lipstick!  My roommate Grace has already claimed one of each.  Come get ‘em!  Also, new stingray bracelets from Leighelena that are sure to get you in the mood for Valentine’s Day.  It’s comin’ in hot.  And we don’t think there’s any shame in telling your boyfriend/husband/manfriend exactly what you want (from Sam’s Closet).  Have a fabulous week!
